Rebuilding with Purpose: How Plumbing Skills Empowered Siteri
Water-related challenges often disrupt daily responsibilities women carry, from cooking to caring for their families. With limited plumbing knowledge and a reliance on the village water committee for repairs, many are left waiting for days when issues arose. To address this, Habitat for Humanity Fiji provided basic plumbing training to twelve women—including Siteri—with strong support from the community.
For Siteri, the training was life-changing, enabling her to independently install a water system for her family’s new cooking space.
